On Saturday, August 21, 2027, cyclists will take on one of three official distances: 1. 25-Mile Community Route (Quarter Century) 2. 62-Mile Metric Century Route (100 Kilometers) 3. 100-Mile Imperial Century Route (160 Kilometers) The event is engineered to provide a safe, scenic, and fast experience by taking heavy advantage of dedicated, grade-separated paved multi-use rail trails (the Monon Trail and the Nickel Plate Trail) in combination with smooth, low-traffic county thoroughfares. --- ## Official Routes & Turn-by-Turn Course Descriptions ### 1. Turn South onto the continuous, paved Nickel Plate Trail corridor, cruising through Fishers and southern Hamilton County back into Marion County. 5. **Evanston Terminus**: Continue south to the southern terminus of the Nickel Plate Trail at 42nd Street & Evanston Avenue. 6. **Closing Link**: Head West on 42nd Street back to the official Starting Point at 42nd & Monon Trail to complete the 25-mile loop. ### 2. Official dynamic rollout and chip-timing arch. - **Sector 2 (Cross-Town Link - West to Monon Trail)**: Lateral connection west across midtown Indianapolis towards Broad Ripple to intercept the Monon Trail corridor. - **Sector 3 (The Greenway Spine - North to Hamilton-Boone County Line)**: Sustained northbound paceline tempo through Carmel and Westfield into northern Hamilton County. The 100-Mile Route (Full Imperial Century) - **Target Distance**: 100.0 miles (160.9 km) - **Target Elevation Gain**: ~1,850 ft - **Recommended For**: Elite endurance riders, century veterans, randonneurs. - **Turn-by-Turn Route Architecture**: - **Initial Track**: Follows the 62-Mile course rollout from 42nd & Evanston / Monon Trail, navigating north along the Monon corridor through Carmel and Westfield up to the Boone-Hamilton County Line Road. - **The Northern Extension**: Where the 62-mile route breaks off toward SR 38, the 100-Mile century continues northbound directly along the Boone-Hamilton County Line Road through wide-open agricultural farmland all the way to 296th Street (the northern border of Hamilton County). - **Northern Farmland Crossing (296th Street)**: Turn East onto 296th Street. Ride east across quiet, open northern county roads crossing north of Sheridan and Boxley toward State Road 19. - **SR 19 Southbound**: Turn South onto State Road 19 (SR 19). Cyclists have right-of-way on dedicated trail sections but must yield to pedestrians and obey trail etiquette. - Fully supported SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles will patrol the 62-mile and 100-mile routes until 5:30 PM. - Aid stations stocked with water, electrolyte replacement drinks, nutrition bars, fruit, and mechanical support tools are situated at roughly 15-20 mile intervals across all courses.
